5.14.12 - Dedicated Micros leads installers through the transition to hybrid IP video.

New products on show include additions to the CamVu IP camera range, which are designed to work licence free for life with Dedicated Micros secure Closed IPTV switch and DVR/NVRs; including the CamVu 720 true day/night camera and dome with wide dynamic range capability. The CamVu 720 features the same stunning low light performance as the CamVu 500 range.

Complementing the new HD IP camera products, is the new 360 degree IP camera, the CamVu 3602 and 3605. The CamVu 3602 featuring a 3 megapixel sensor and the 3605 a 5 megapixel sensor. Both offer the benefit of in-camera de-warping in order to create independent streams which emulate multiple  channels of IP video. Multiple independent streams are managed seamlessly within the NetVu ObserVer viewing application offering electronic zoom of each view. If the user has sufficient storage available, both products offer retrospective electronic PTZ on the recorded image through the de-warping capability in the display device. As part of the NetVu Connected family of seamless video products, images from the camera are recorded and viewed alongside the images of both analogue and IP cameras deployed within the same system.

All CamVu IP cameras feature transmission on alarm and multiple video streams in MPEG4, JPEG and H.264 simultaneously at different, transcoded resolutions and bit rate to meet bandwidth requirements, while maintaining a differentiated high quality record rate for use as evidence. CamVu IP camera provide superior benefits to users over and above poorly featured “web cam” competitors.
